The Apothecary Showglobe is one of the oldest symbols of pharmacy that dates back to the 1500’s.   These glass vessels were often displayed in shop windows or were suspended on the building façades to indicate the business was an apothecary facility. 

The colors used in the Apothecary Showglobe were indicators on the health status of the community;  red indicated mild sickness, black indicated the plague, and blue / green indicated the community was healthy. 

This iconic symbol was known for professional service and the location of medicinal experts who served the community.  The Apothecary Showglobes in our stores are  originals from the 1920’s. These priceless symbols were selected as our company logo to represent our dedication to high quality and tradition of personalized service.
